For 20 editions, the community newspaper El Roble Río Piedras, where I volunteered as editorial designer (from the second publication, onwards) and, along the way, as a writer, shared stories that highlighted the lives of residents of Río Piedras’ eight communities: Blondet, Buen Consejo, Capetillo, Casco Urbano, García Ubarri, Mora, Santa Rita and Venezuela.
El Roble was published every two months with a circulation of 2,500 copies, distributed among establishments and residences in Río Piedras. It ran from December 2018 to February 2023.
Capitalist demands in recent years on the hosting platform where the digital copies of El Roble were stored led to the deactivation of the account. The only available versions are localized saved PDFs, while the main social media platform is still available.
