Client: Individual proposal for the Faculty of Education
Objective: To create a promotional poster for a conference

The poster proposed for the 15th Puerto Rican Congress on Educational Research is based on aspects of an artistic movement developed at the beginning of the 20th century, known as Futurism.
The typography created for the title “Education, Innovation and Technology: Teaching and Learning in the Digital Age” uses geometric and defined shapes, inspired by studied works of the Puerto Rican artist Nelson Sambolín, to evoke a sense of innovation in the piece.
The rotation of the typography and the different orientations are intended to create a sense of movement that captures the observer’s attention and guides their gaze across the composition. Likewise, the perpendicular angles and intersections are based on the letters X and V, representing the Roman numeral fifteen.

The color harmony selected for the poster is a split complementary, which allows for the use of three colors in a composition. In this case, variations of blue, green, and orange were used to evoke a refreshing feel that emphasizes innovation.
Each text element is organized hierarchically, as is the opacity of the intersecting lines in the background, to create depth in the design for improved readability and better comprehension. The space provided for the logos is in the bottom section to avoid visual competition between the elements.
